Inside the House

The property is made up of two bedrooms, a large dining room and lounge, a hallway, and a fully equipped kitchen which includes everything you should need for your stay.  It has central heating throughout, wifi, wood burning stove, and much more.

Bedroom 1 (Master)

The master bedroom features a kingsize wooden double bed, chest of drawers, and wardrobe as well as two bedside cabinets and a full-length mirror, look out to the front garden. Enjoy reading your book in the large armchair in the corner

Bedroom 2

A twin bedded room with the option to make a large double. Storage is provided in the form of a built-in wardrobe with shelving. There is a shared bedside table, reading lamp, and full-length mirror. This room is at the rear of the property.

Bathroom

The family-sized bathroom sits between the two bedrooms it is light and airy, containing a WC, vanity unit, mirror and shower.

Hallway

As you enter the property all rooms lead off the spacious hallway with beautiful wooden floors running throughout.

Lounge

The lounge is double aspect with uninterrupted views overlooking open fields to the rear, garden, and quiet lane to the front.  There is a wood burner, 2 comfy sofas, one of which is a sofa bed, piano, dining table and chairs, bookshelves, coffee table and new 37” HD Smart TV. Patio doors allow seamless access into the rear garden with patio, BBQ and level lawn area.

Kitchen

The newly fitted, well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to make your stay comfortable including washer/dryer, large fridge and freezer, breakfast bar, dishwasher, double oven, and hob, microwave, and view over the garden. We supply tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, washing up liquid, clothes and dishwasher tablets, and washing powder for all guests.

Outside the House

The house is set back from the road with parking to the front and a large enclosed garden to the rear.

Front

There are two parking spaces for guests as well as a large front lawned area and herb garden. There are gates at the front if you wish to secure the garden.

Back Garden

There is a large back garden to the rear of the property. With views looking North West across open rolling fields you will feel like you are lost in the countryside. A large patio with seating area is accompanied by tables and chairs as well as a BBQ.

For those warm days there is a washing line to dry your wetsuits and clothes. We have a number of pieces of surfing equipment, please ask next door if you are interested.

Side Access

There is side access to the left of the property. This will take you along to the back garden. It is narrow and we recommend going through the house where possible.

 
 

Local Area

The house is located on the edge of the village of Georgeham within walking distance of all the local amenities. There is also an endless number of incredible locations within miles of the property ready for exploring.

Walk to

You are at the edge of Georgeham village with 2 excellent local pubs, which offer a wide range of local ales and delicious freshly cooked food; a village store with post office, park with football pitch, children’s play area and multi-use sports area. For walkers there is the fantastic South West Coast Path nearby.

Cycle To

We are on sustrans cycle route 278. You can also access the villages and beaches of Croyde, Putsborough, Woolacombe. Croyde is a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. Rock pools are in abundance and the dunes are a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volleyball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery. This classic ‘chocolate-box’ village is steeped in old-world charm and echoes the feeling of life in Britain in times gone by. Coastal and Countryside walks include the majestic Croyde cliff path to Baggy Point, (and for those energetic), to Woolacombe and beyond.  A day at historic Braunton Burrows is great.  Cyclists can enjoy the 30-mile Tarka Trail tracking the scenic coastline of North Devon.

Drive to

To all of the above, where beachside parking is available. Plus Braunton, Saunton, Woolacombe, Barnstaple, North Devon towns and villages. Explore the beautiful Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks. Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, The Milky Way and The Big Sheep all within driving distance. Cultural days can be passed at Arlington Court, historic Clovelly Village, Watermouth Castle, Lynton, Lynmouth, Victorian-styled Ilfracombe with its quaint fishing harbour and many more. Saunton Golf Course is a mere 3 miles down the road with its 2 famous links courses. Finally, picturesque walks through beautiful forested areas and running rivers such as at Watersmeet will complete your wonderful stay in this beautiful part of England.

Public Transport

Georgeham is serviced by a regular bus route to Barnstaple via Croyde and Braunton, including the train station, which offers regular services to Exeter and beyond.

Boat Trips

Available from Ilfracombe around the stunning North Devon Coast for sightseeing or fishing, or a day trip to Lundy Island, which is a Marine Conservation Zone.
